Embrace the Moment

Ingrid’s recipes were about bringing people together and creating memories. It is in this spirit that we invite you to join us and "Embrace the Moment" this July. Ingrid's legacy of warmth, love, and culinary creativity continues to live on, and we are committed to honouring her memory by supporting the fight against cancer.

Ingrid's Story

Born on a strawberry farm in Amherst Ohio, one of Ingrid's favourite places to be was in the kitchen with her mom and aunts. While sneaking in the occasional “can I please lick the spoon?”, Ingrid learned how to make countless recipes the old-fashioned way – from scratch. Ingrid brought this passion to Sunripe in 1990 when she married Will and she later shared this passion with their three children, Kysa, Ryall and Mia. Many shoppers would recognize Ingrid always hard at work in store, teaching new team members, whipping up new recipes and making sure everything was running smoothly. As you may know, “Ingrid’s Poppyseed Dressing” was the first recipe Ingrid brought to Sunripe all those years ago. After a brief battle with cancer in October 2023, Ingrid passed away. To celebrate Ingrid’s July 4th birthday, we will be donating $4 for each bottle of Ingrid’s salad dressing sold (all flavours) in the month of July. All funds raised will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

How to Donate

1. Purchase any of Ingrid's Salad Dressings during the month of July - $4 for every bottle purchased is donated.

2. Make a donation with our cashiers in-store.

As a token of our appreciation and a reminder to cherish every minute, we have "Embrace the Moment" bracelets for all. Wearing this bracelet serves as a reminder to cherish every moment and to honour Ingrid's enduring spirit. Thank you for your support.
